Music and street food – after dark

eat.st slinging at Mencap’s Little Noise Sessions – featuring Elbow, Marina & the Diamonds and Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Come hungry so you can have it all!

Whether you already have tickets or are after some after dark street food action, one thing you can be sure of is being well fed by our specially selected eat.st crew.

Mencap’s Little Noise Sessions curated by Mencap ambassador Jo Whiley, are back with a bang for the 6th year running - and there’s definitely nothing little about 2011’s line up! Taking residency in the iconic church, St John-at-Hackney this is going to be an unmissable set of shows! Kicking off the opening night with an almighty headline performance are Mercury and BRIT award winners Elbow.

There is not just music in the offering but eat.st has its very own street food line-up starting with Creperie Nicholas and Bhangra Burger.

Mencap ambassador Jo Whiley said; “We are delighted to welcome the return of Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland to headline an extra special night for Mencap’s Little Noise Sessions. With a week of unbelievable shows, this year is set to be one of the most exciting and inspiring we’ve had to date. I can’t wait!”

Join us from 22 – 27 November to celebrate a week of simply stunning, gigs and street food in the aid of learning disability charity Mencap.

driving British street food forward

eat.st has been set up to strengthen the bonds and cultivate the opportunities of the British street food scene. We seek out the best food traders - both old pros and new in the game - to create a standard of excellence and swagger. Together, we intend to breathe personality and informality back into our towns and cities through the universal appeal of food enjoyed in our shared urban spaces.

We represent the push for the transformation of the British foodscape through the normalisation of eating well. By placing good, real food at street level the experience can be accessed and participated in by all, leading to a more exuberant street life.
